| now hiring! |
[Dec. 1st, 2005|03:36 am] |
so, if you need a job you should totally apply at Bed Bath & Beyond. if you put my name on your application and stay for 30 days, i get $200. i will share it with anybody that actually does this.
i've tried desperately to get people to apply. we pretty much hire anybody. it's usually $50 after 90 days, but apparently we're really desperate. the pay is good...starting pay is usually over $7.00 an hour. and even part-time people get like 30-38 hours a week. although you could work less if you want.
it's not hard work, there are lots of great people there, and they are very flexible with hours.
so come work with me! we can have BBB parties everyday! |

i guess i should share my storm story...
it starts with sunday afternoon. my sister and i decided to venture out for some last minute supplies. our top priority was bread. we stopped at calandro's, rite aid, and walgreen's. no bread. not even a crumb. our last stop was the neighborhood gas station. luckily they had one loaf of bread left (the last loaf in town, seriously) and right as i walk up there's a lady coming down the aisle to get the bread as well. she starts yelling at me about how she was there first and all she wants to do is make a tuna fish sandwich. well of course i start yelling back and i push her away, grabbing the loaf of bread. i won and got to the checkout before she did. so yes it's true, i beat up middle age woman.
on monday, during the storm, brett, my stepdad, and i were sitting on the porch and all of a sudden the tree next to the living room falls on the house. it didn't do any damage to the house, but my sister's car and mine were right under it. her spoiler broke off as well as my side view mirror. i know that's probably the most insignificant thing, but it was so fucking scary to just hear and see a tree crashing down on my house. i guess you had to be there. but it snapped the cable line, so we've cut off from the world for four days. luckily our power was restored monday night.
monday night, brett and i decided to drive to his friend's apartment to watch coverage of the storm. on our way back, we got pulled over by three cops. i was told to get out of the car, while brett was questioned and frisked in the passenger's seat. the cop that was questioning me looked around the driver's seat and when he came back to me asked if we smoke weed and if i have any weed in the car. (note: i don't think police officerrs should be using the word weed...it's creepy). anyway, i of course said no and told him he could search the car if he wanted to, but they got a call on the radio and took of in a hurry. i think they were just looking for somebody and my car matched the description. c'est la vie, but it was creepy as hell, especially since the power was out where i was stopped and the only light we had was the cops' search light.
well, that's all i have to share, and i know it's very selfish of me to even share it with all that's going on. it's just so surreal i can hardly believe it. i went to work for the first time today since the storm, and it broke my heart to see those people buying essential bedding supplies to prepare to live in shelters for the next few months. i almost started to cry a few times.
we brought our leftover supplies to Tara High School in BR. there was a small closet housing the supplies for the few hundred people there, i doubt they even lasted that day... |

| her name is rio and she dances on the sand.... |
[Aug. 12th, 2005|01:26 pm] |
anybody interested in having a loveable, outdoors kitty?
brett needs to find a home for his cat. her name is rio, and yes she dances on the sand. she's a small black cat, just over a year old. she stays outdoors, but she'd have to be kept in for the first few days to get used to the new place.
if nobody takes her, she will be put to sleep at the pound. |

[Mar. 1st, 2005|03:24 pm] |
so i registered for two independent study courses.
History 2057-US history 1865 to present Theatre 1020-Intro to theatre
i think i'll enjoy both, i just have to get on the ball and actually do the work. but i think i will. all i do is sit on the couch and watch tv. now i'll have something to do while sitting on the couch watching tv.
people in general are so nice. i sent an email to my sociology class asking for chapter 1 notes. i figured i'd maybe get somebody's halfass notes like right before the test tomorrow. but within a few hours, i have gotten 3 complete sets of notes of everything on the test and a very good set of chapter 1 notes. if i don't do well on this test, i have no excuse.
today is much better. |

[Feb. 28th, 2005|05:02 pm] |
i am such a fucking moron. i missed my first asian art test. it was last monday, and i just found out about it today.
i guess that's what happens to slackers like me.
i really need to take a good look at my life and take responsibility for my actions.
i need to fucking grow up and stop putting everything off.
the question is: do i talk to her and make a fool of myself or take the easy way out by dropping the class and making up for it with an independent study course?
i just want to cry and watch oprah. |

he is a pomeranian mix, but looks more like a miniature lassie. he's almost one year old, weighs 11.7 pounds, and cried when we left. we get to pick him up on monday!
and we have already planned to make him gay, with argyle sweaters and pink scarves. how fun!
too bad if you don't like it. |

| i'm ready to cut bitches again |
[Dec. 29th, 2004|01:50 pm] |
my car got broken into. they broke the part of the window that doesn't roll down on the driver's side of the back seat. luckily, nothing got stolen.
everything that was in the glove box and center console was scattered around.
however, my birth certificate and social security card were both in my glove box, but the assholes didn't take that. i guess they didn't want to steal my identity. fuck them.
this calls for the return of the cut-yo-ass bitch miss rhonda. |
